Paedophile Connor Allen-Howe (21), of Gardeners Road, Halstead, Essex, was caught after the Colorado Police Department in the US contacted Essex Police.
Allen-Howe admitted 31 sexual offences and was sentenced to eight years in prison at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday.
When police searched his devices, they located 17,500 images of women, most deleted but still stored as thumbnails.
And he suggested sexual activity with a young boy to a young woman.
“This case is a shocking warning of the dangers that exist online, not only of how easy it is for a stranger to make contact with young boys, but also to persuade them to carry out sexual acts on camera,” said Michelle Brown, for the CPS.
“In some instances, these acts were committed on children younger than themselves, or involved pet dogs.
The encounter began with the woman posing fully clothed, then in underwear and then naked, subsequently leading to her carrying out a sex act, the detective said.
Upon further investigation, officers have connected him to 15 other women, although most didn't engage in sexual behaviour.
